I take Kellie to learn and play in a Live Action Role Play game with the help of our mentor Jake and Alliance LARP Utah.

Kellie: “I really don’t know what she was thinking. She knows I hate nature; I really do. And I don’t stretch. I was also really afraid of looking stupid.”
Liz: “I expect that she will be freaking out all day long and over the next 2 – 3 days. She might hate me by the end of the day but I think she’ll get over it and be proud that she tried something new and realize how brave she is. Kellie lasted way longer than I expected she would which is WAY cool!”

“I struggle with anxiety and perfectionism to just dive in and try new things and really put myself out there. I realize life is not always meant to be comfortable. I think I made Liz and myself proud.”

― Kellie

WHAT IS LARPING?

A live action role-playing game (LARP) is a form of role-playing game where the participants in real life physically portray their characters. The players pursue goals within a fictional setting represented by the real world while interacting with each other in character.
The outcome of player actions may be mediated by game rules or determined by consensus among players. Event arrangers called gamemasters decide the setting and rules to be used and facilitate play.
